Here are Quince’s words about our recent trip to Victoria, BC to visit his Grandpa. I did only minor edits to help his sentences flow. Enjoy!
What was your favorite part of the trip?
Staying at grandpa’s. I love having a sleep over. And getting a toy. I got a lego space shuttle. I loved the big tie fighter, but it was $99.99 and too much money.
I loved going on the Coho ferry. Me and dad went up there before looking around. It’s big. It looks like it’s going fast but it’s not, it’s going slow.
Did you like the food?
Yes. But the macaroni and cheese was not good. I liked the calamari with lemon on it. We had Chinese food, I love rice and sauce a lot.
What did we do that was fun?
Playing with Kyle. I sprayed water on him, we were on the trampoline. It was so fun. Don’t forget, walking with Nikki. And going to the store.

I was really surprised he didn’t mention the Victoria Police Officer he spoke with while waiting for the ferry. Quince spotted him as he was coming out of the bathroom, hardly giving him a chance to get out the door in fact. They talked about walkie-talkies, where we live, and Lego. The last one was mostly due to Quince holding his new Lego shuttle. The Officer gave him a sticker, which Quince ran to give me to with the instruction “keep it safe and don’t lose it”.
