Many years ago Richard started making pies for his family’s thanksgiving dinner. Us adding Quince to our family didn’t slow this tradition down one bit. In fact, it has only been added too.
Since he was an infant Quince has aided in the pie making process. From mearly watching while Richard holds him to pushing the button and now to adding cups of flour.
This year while left along at the pie prep table, Quince decided to whip something up. In the measuring cup he added flour and water, stirring often until it looked like he wanted it too. Richard slipped in a few things like baking powder and soda. Quince requested some chocolate chips. From there it was shaped into a pancake then thrown into a pan and fried in butter.
There you have his first bite. He happily are the whole thing. We each tried a bite and was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty good.
Great job Quince on your first solo baking experiment!
